PROFILE ACADÉMIQUE ET PROFESSIONNEL

     Né le 28.10.1946 à Alexandroúpolis (Grèce) – de nationalité hellénique et française – le Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS est un ingénieur agronome et économiste hautement qualifié, avec des amples études post-universitaires et une expérience de recherche multidisciplinaire dans des établissements universitaires renommés de toute l'Europe.

     Le Docteur Angel ANGELIDIS fut le principal responsable de l'agriculture, de la pêche et des forêts dans le Comité de haut niveau qui a négocié l'adhésion de la Grèce auprès des Communautés européennes (1975-1979). Son rôle fut décisif dans les efforts pour accélérer les négociations et détacher la candidature de la Grèce de celles de l’Espagne et Portugal, ce qui a permis à la Grèce d’adhérer le 01.01.1981, au lieu du 01.01.1086, comme cela fut le cas pour les deux pays ibériques. De surcroît, il a obtenu des arrangements techniques et budgétaires extrêmement favorables à la Grèce concernant plusieurs produits méditerranéens (huile d'olive, coton, fruits et légumes, raisins secs et figues sèches, viande ovine et caprine...) et a participé directement aux adaptations du droit dérivé communautaire et à la rédaction de l'acte d'adhésion (1979). 

     Déçu par les intrigues politiques internes et notamment l’ingratitude du gouvernement de Constantin Karamanlis qui a manifestement manqué de reconnaître l'importance du travail accompli une fois les négociations terminées et compte tenu de la victoire prévisible dans les prochaines élections législatives (1981) du parti de PASOK d'Andréas Papandréou – dont les prises de position anti-européennes constituaient une menace potentielle pour les postes administratifs de ceux qui avaient travaillé pour l’adhésion de la Grèce à la CEE – le Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS quitta Athènes pour Bruxelles en juillet 1979.

     En raison de ses performances exceptionnelles et ses connaissances linguistiques, il fut aussitôt employé – par décision spéciale de la Commission européenne – pour les besoins  du processus des négociations avec l'Espagne et le Portugal (1979-1985). Durant son mandat au service de la Commission, le Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS fut notamment chargé d’analyser les politiques agricoles nationales de l’Espagne et du Portugal et a conséquemment établi les inventaires détaillés des aides d’état à l’agriculture espagnole et portugaise, ce qui a permis de faire progresser et de clôturer le chapitre agricole des négociations de l’UE avec ces pays (fin mars 1985).

     Au cours de sa longue carrière professionnelle de 35 ans, commençant au Ministère de Coordination à Athènes, en 1975 et poursuivie dans les Institutions européennes (Commission européenne: 1979-1987 et Parlement européen: 1988-2011), il a occupé plusieurs postes administratifs de haut niveau (Administrateur principal, Chef de Division, Conseiller, Directeur) portant principalement sur les secteurs de l'agriculture, des pêches et des forêts. Il fut également membre du Cabinet du Commissaire pour la pêche et les transports (Mr. Contogeorgis, Commission Thorn: 1981-1984). Il a participé aux processus d'intégration de la République démocratique allemande  (ex-DDR) à la CEE (1990) et aux élargissements successifs de l’UE (1986, 1995, 2004 et 2007) [1]. 

     Le Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS a conçu, mis en place, suivi et évalué de nombreux projets de recherche et de développement économique en Europe, Asie, Afrique et Amérique latine. Il a également collaboré avec plusieurs bureaux de consultants internationaux spécialisés en développement régional et rural  («Dragados y Construcciones», «Doxiadis Associates», «Vakakis Associates», etc.), avant de joindre les Institutions européennes.

     Il est en particulier le promoteur du grand projet EUROFOR et de son produit – l'étude "l'Europe et la forêt", (vaste ouvrage en 3 volumes, publié par l'Office des Publications officielles des Communautés européennes en 1993/1998) – sur la base duquel le Parlement européen a lancé sa 1ère initiative législative pour le secteur forestier en 1994. Il est considéré parmi les protagonistes fondateurs de la stratégie forestière européenne adoptée par le Conseil en décembre 1998.

     Le Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS a doté les services du Parlement Européen d’autres ouvrages technico-politico-économiques majeurs, tels que : «Glossaire de la PAC et sa Réforme» ; «Les Interprofessions dans le cadre de la Réforme de l’OCM du vin» ; «Le Régime agri-monétaire de l’UE» ; «La situation de l’agriculture et de l’agro-alimentaire dans les pays de l’Europe Centrale et Orientale (PECO)» ; «Stratégies agricoles pour l’élargissement de l’UE aux PECO - analyse critique de quatre études commanditées par la Commission européenne» ;  "Les négociations d’adhésion avec les PECO et l'impact sur le secteur agricole - le cas de la Pologne» ;  «Les Conséquences de l’Accord de l’Uruguay Round du GATT pour l’agriculture européenne» ; «La Mondialisation et la nécessaire protection de l’agriculture» ; «L'Encéphalopathie Spongiforme Bovine (ESB) – genèse, contagion et prophylaxie» ;  «Manuel de la Politique Commune de la Pêche» ; «Inventaire des Accords bilatéraux et Conventions internationales de pêche signés par l'UE» ; "La Cohabitation entre la pêche artisanale et la pêche industrielle au Sénégal» ; «Manuel de la Politique Forestière européenne» ; «La Politique européenne concernant les feux de forêt» ;  "Le Système communautaire d’échange de quotas d’émission de gaz à effet de serre et les forêts» ; «Forêts et le Changement climatique – Enjeux et perspectives» ; "Cohésion territoriale de l’UE – vers une politique européenne intégrée pour les régions de montagne» ; «Cohésion territoriale de l’UE - vers une politique européenne intégrée en faveur des zones humides» ; «Analyse des propositions de la Commission concernant le développement des régions Ultrapériphériques (RUP)» ; «Répertoire des actions et mesures communautaires en faveur des PME» ;  «Evolution du RAL (Reste à liquider) de l’aide à la coopération de l’UE avec les pays d’Amérique latine» ; «Les Relations UE-Cuba» ; «Accord de partenariat économique, de coordination politique et de coopération entre l’UE et le Mexique» ; "Initiative pour la création d’un partenariat stratégique bi-régional UE – Amérique latine et Caraïbes» ; etc. Tous ces ouvrages furent réalisés en observant la plus grande rigueur scientifique qui prima sur toute interférence d’ordre politique.      Il est par ailleurs l'auteur de dizaines de documents technico-économiques, fiches techniques, rapports, documents de travail et études traitant des actions et politiques européennes dans plusieurs domaines (agriculture, pêche, forêt, développement rural et régional, aménagement du territoire, protection de l'environnement, biodiversité, bioénergie, changement climatique, PME, coopération au développement, budget-finances...). Il a publié plusieurs articles scientifiques et points de vue spécialisés sur des journaux et revues de sciences. Il a participé à des nombreuses conférences internationales sur des sujets de sa compétence et publié plusieurs articles scientifiques et points de vue spécialisés sur des journaux et revues de sciences. Il s’exprime en plusieurs langues (français, anglais, allemand, espagnol, portugais, italien, grec, russe…).

     Il prit sa retraite fin 2011 comme Conseiller émérite du Secrétariat général du Parlement européen.

     Titulaire d'un doctorat de l'Université Polytechnique de Madrid (Doctor Ingeniero Agrónomo, 1974) et d'un autre de l'Université de Montpellier (Docteur d'Etat ès Sciences Economiques, 1975), il fut diplômé (M.SC) de l’Ecole Supérieure Agronomique d'Athènes) en 1970. Il étendit ses qualifications académiques et techniques par le biais d'études post-universitaires dans des établissements réputés en tant que boursier des gouvernements grec, autrichien, britannique, français et espagnol.

     Il a enseigné à l'Ecole Diplomatique de Madrid, Espagne (1979-2004) et à l'Université "Montesquieu" Bordeaux 4, France (2003-2010).

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS a reçu la médaille d'or pour 25 ans de service dans la fonction publique européenne, par le Président du Parlement européen, en 2007. Il a reçu les distinctions de «Comendador de la Orden Civil de Mérito Agrícola de España" (1984) et de "Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica" (2006), par le roi Juan Carlos Ier d'Espagne. Il a également reçu  les honneurs de la "Croix de l'ordre du Service distingué"(2007),  de l' "Ordre d`Excellence Américain" (2008), de "Grands esprits du XXIe siècle dans l'Agriculture et les Forêts" et fut nommé «Académicien à vie» (2009), par l’Institut Biographique Américain, Etats-Unis.

     Ancien officier de l'Armée Hellénique (XXI Division Cuirassée), il a co-fondé (2009) et il est vice-président de l'"Institut pour la gestion des crises géostratégiques", le premier centre de recherche de ce genre à Thessalonique, Grèce. 

     Dr. Angel ANGELIIS est actuellement un expert/conseiller indépendant en matière d'agriculture-agroalimentaire, des pêches et des forêts, notamment concernant la conception, la réalisation et l'évaluation des projets de développement durable. Il réalise également des analyses de perspective/prospective approfondies pour des thèmes d'actualité relevant d'une importance géopolitique majeure.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

     Born on 28.10.1946 in Alexandroupolis (Greece) – of Hellenic and French nationality – Doctor Angel ANGELIDIS is a highly qualified agricultural engineer and economist, with wide-ranging postgraduate studies and multidisciplinary research experience in famous academic establishments all over Europe.

     Doctor Angel ANGELIDIS was the chief responsible for agriculture, fisheries and forest in the High Level Committee which negotiated Greece’s accession to the European Communities (1975-1979). His role was decisive in efforts to accelerate negotiations and untie the candidature of Greece from those of Spain and Portugal, which allowed Greece to join EEC the 01.01.1981, instead of the 01.01.1086, as it was the case for the two Iberian countries. In addition, he achieved technical and budgetary arrangements extremely favorable to Greece in connection with several mediterranean products (olive oil, cotton, fruits & vegetables, dried grapes & figs, sheep & goat meat…), and participated directly at the adjustments of the EU derived law and the drafting of the Act of Accession (1979).

     Disappointed by the internal political intrigues namely the ingratitude of the Constantin Karamanlis Government which has clearly failed to recognize the importance of the work done once the negotiations were completed  and in the light of the predictable victory in the forthcoming legislative elections (1981) of the PASOK party of Andreas Papandreou – whose anti-European campaign constituted a potential threat to the administrative positions of those who had worked for the accession of Greece to the EEC – Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS left Athens for Brussels in July 1979.

     Due to his outstanding performance and wide linguistic knowledges, he was then employed – by special decision of the European Commission – for the needs of the ongoing EEC negotiations process with Spain and Portugal (1979-1985). During his term at the service of the Commission, Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS was notably entrusted with analyzing the national agricultural policies of Spain and Portugal and he consequently established the detailed inventories of State aids to the Spanish and Portuguese agricultural sectors,  which allowed advancing and closing the agricultural chapter of the EU negotiations with those countries (end March 1985).

     During his 35-year long professional career, starting at the Ministry of Coordination in Athens, Greece, in 1975 and followed in the European institutions (European Commission: 1979-1987 and European Parliament: 1988-2011), he occupied several high level administrative positions (Principal Administrator, Head of Division, Counsellor, Director) dealing principally with the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors. He was also member of the Cabinet of the Commissioner for Fisheries and Transport (Mr. Contogeorgis, Thorn Commission: 1981-1984). He then participated in the integration process of the German Democratic Republic (former DDR) in the EEC (1990) and the successive EU enlargements (1986, 1995, 2004 and 2007).

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS has designed, implemented and monitored numerous EU funded research and economic development projects in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. He also collaborated with several consultancies specialized in regional and rural development («Dragados y Construcciones SA», «Doxiadis Associates», «Vakakis Associates», etc.), prior to joining the European institutions.

     He was namely the promoter of the significant EUROFOR project and its outcome – the “Europe and the Forest” Study (edited in 3 volumes by the Official Publications Office of the European Communities in 1993/1998) – on the basis of which in 1994 the European Parliament launched, in conformity with Article 138B of the Maastricht Treaty, its 1^st legislative initiative in favor of the forestry sector. He is considered among the founding protagonistes of the European Forest Strategy adopted by the Council in December 1998.

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS is the author of dozens of techno-economic papers, fact sheets, reports, working documents and studies dealing with European actions and policies in several fields (agriculture, fisheries, forest, rural and regional development, spatial planning, environment protection, biodiversity, bioenergy, climate change, small and medium-size enterprises (SME), cooperation for development, budget-financing…). He has published several specialized scientific articles and views on science journals and newspapers alike. He expresses in several languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Russian...).

     Holding a Ph.D. degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain (Doctor Ingeniero Agrónomo, 1974) and another from the University of Montpellier, France (Docteur d’État ès Sciences Economiques, 1975), he graduated (M.Sc) from the School of High Agronomic Studies of Athens in 1970. He enlarged his academic and technical qualifications by the means of postgraduate studies in renowned institutions as a scholarship holder of the Greek, Austrian, UK, French and Spanish Governments.

     He has taught, as a visiting professor, at the diplomatic school of Madrid, Spain (1979-2004) and at the "Montesquieu" - Bordeaux 4 University, France (2003-2010).

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS received the Golden medal for 25 years of service in the European public function from the President of the European Parliament, in 2007. He was awarded the distinctions of the “Comendador de la Orden Civil de Mérito Agrícola de España” (1984) and of the “Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica” (2006), by the King Juan Carlos I of Spain. He was also entitled to the honors of the "Distinguished Service Order Cross"(2007), “American Order of Excellence” (2008), “Great minds of the 21st Century in Agriculture and Forests", and was named “Academician for life term” (2009) by the American Biographical Institute, USA.

     He retired end of 2011 as Counsellor Emeritus of the Secretariat General of the European Parliament.

     Having served as a Reserve officer of the Hellenic Army (XXI Armored Division), Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS is an adept in military history. He co-founded (2009) and is vice-president of the “Institute for the management of Geostrategic Crisis”, the first research facility of this kind in Thessaloniki, Greece.

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS is now an independent expert/advisor on agriculture and agri-food, fisheries and forestry matters, namely concerning the design, implementation and evaluation of sustainable development projects. He also performs in depth perspective/prospective analysis for current topics of major geopolitical importance.

     Geboren am 28.10.1946 in Alexandroupolis (Griechenland) – der griechischen und französischen Nationalität – Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS ist ein hochqualifizierter Agraringenieur und Wirtschaftswissenschaftler, mit weiteren post-graduierten Studien und multidisziplinären Forschung Erfahrungen in europaweit renommierten akademischen Institutionen.

    Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS war der zuständiger Chef für Landwirtschaft, Fischerei und Forsten im hochrangigen Ausschuss der den Beitritt Griechenlands zu den Europäischen Gemeinschaften (1975-1979) ausgehandelt hatte. Seine Rolle war maßgebend für die Bemühungen um die Verhandlungen zu beschleunigen und die Kandidatur von Griechenland aus diesen von Spanien und Portugal zu lösen, so dass Griechenland in der EU am 01.01.1981 integriert hatte, statt am 01.01.1086, wie es der Fall für die beiden iberischen Länder war. Außerdem, erreichte er besonders günstige technische und finanzielle Einzelheiten für verschiedene Mittelmeerprodukten (Olivenöl, Baumwolle, Obst & Gemüse, getrocknete Weintrauben und Feigen, Schaf & Ziege Fleisch...) und nahm direkt an die Anpassungen des abgeleiteten Gemeinschaftsrechts und die Abfassung der Akte über den Beitritt (1979) teil.

     Enttäuscht durch die internen politischen Intrigen und darunter die Undankbarkeit der Constantin Karamanlis Regierung die eindeutig versäumt hat die Bedeutung der Arbeit zu erkennen, sobald die Verhandlungen abgeschlossen wurden und unter Berücksichtigung der vorhersehbaren Sieg bei den bevorstehenden Parlamentswahlen (1981) der PASOK-Partei von Andreas Papandreou – deren anti-europäische  Kampagne konstituierten eine potenzielle Bedrohung für die administrative Beiträge derjenigen, die für den Beitritt Griechenlands zur EWG gearbeitet hatten – Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS hinterließ Athen nach Brüssel im Juli 1979 .

     Wegen seiner hervorragenden Leistungen und sprachlichen Kenntnisse war er dann angestellt, durch einen besonderen Beschluss der Europäischen Kommission, für die Bedürfnisse des laufenden Prozesses der Verhandlungen mit Spanien und Portugal (1979-1985). Während seiner Amtszeit in den Dienst der Kommission, war Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS vor allem mit der Analyse der nationalen Agrarpolitik von Spanien und Portugal vertraut und gründete er daher detaillierte Aufstellungen der staatlichen Beihilfen für die spanische und portugiesische Landwirtschaft, die erlaubten das Kapitel "Landwirtschaft" der EU Verhandlungen mit diesen Ländern zu schließen (Ende März 1985).

     Während seiner 35 Jahre lange Karriere beginnend am Ministerium der Koordinierung in Athen, in 1975 und gefolgt in den europäischen Institutionen (Europäische Kommission: 1979-1987 und Europäisches Parlament: 1988-2011), besetzte er mehrere hochrangige Verwaltungsposten (Hauptverwaltungsbeamter, Divisionsleiter, Berater, Direktor) hauptsächlich im Agrar-, Fischerei- und Forstwirtschaft Bereich. Außerdem war er Mitglied des Kabinetts vom Kommissar für Fischerei und Verkehr (Herr Contogeorgis, Kommission Thorn: 1981-1984). Er beteiligte sich in den Integrationsprozess der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik (ex-DDR) mit der EWG (1990) und den bisherigen Erweiterungen der EU (1986, 1995, 2004 und 2007).

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS entwickelte, implementierte und überwachte zahlreiche Forschungs- und wirtschaftliche Entwicklungs Projekte in Europa, Asien, Afrika und Lateinamerika. Er hat auch mit mehreren Beratungsunternehmen spezialisiert auf regionale und ländliche Entwicklung («Dragados y Construcciones SA», «Doxiadis Associates», «Vakakis Associates» usw.) gearbeitet, vor seinem Eintritt bei den europäischen Institutionen.

     Er ist nämlich der Veranstalter des EUROFOR Projektes und seiner Ergebnisse – die Studie "Europa und der Wald" (in 3 Bänden, herausgegebe vom Amt für amtliche Veröffentlichungen der Europäischen Gemeinschaften 1993/1998) – auf deren Grundlage startete das Europäische Parlament im Jahr 1994, gemäß Artikel 138 Absatz 3 des Vertrags von Maastricht, seine erste Gesetzesinitiative  für die Forstwirtschaft. Er gilt unter den führenden Gründern der europäischen Forststrategie entnommen vom Rat im Dezember 1998.

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS lieferte die Dienste des Europäischen Parlaments mit anderen technischen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Hauptwerke, z.      Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS ist der Autor von Dutzenten von Technico-ökonomischen Papiere, Kurzdarstellungen, Berichte, Dokumente und Studien über europäische Aktionen und Maßnahmen in mehreren Bereichen (Landwirtschaft, Fischerei, Forstwirtschaft, ländliche und regionale Entwicklung, Raumplanung, Umweltschutz, biologische Vielfalt, Bioenergie, Klima-Änderung, KMU, Zusammenarbeit fur die Entwicklung...). Er veröffentlichte mehrere spezialisierte wissenschaftliche Artikel und Ansichten über Wissenschaft Zeitschriften und Zeitungen gleichermaßen. Er wird ausgedrückt in verschiedenen Sprachen (Französisch, Englisch, Deutsch, Spanisch, Portugiesisch, Italienisch, Griechisch,. Russisch...).

     Inhaber eines Doktortitels (PhD) von der Polytechnischen Universität Madrid (Doctor Ingeniero Agrónomo, 1974) und eines weiteres von der Universität von Montpellier (Docteur d'État ès Sciences Économiques, 1975) graduierte er (M.Sc) die Schule der hohen agronomischen Studien von Athen im Jahr 1970. Er erweiterte seine akademischen und technischen Fähigkeiten durch Post-graduiertenstudien in renommierten Institutionen als Stipendiat der griechischen, österreichischen, britischen, französischen und spanischen Regierung.

      Er lehrte als Gastprofessor an der diplomatischen Schule von Madrid, Spanien (1979-2004) und an der Universität "Montesquieu" Bordeaux 4, Frankreich (2003-2010).

     Er zog Ende 2011 als emerierte Berater (Counsellor Emeritus) des Generalsekretariats des Europäischen Parlaments.

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS erhielt die Goldene Medaille für 25 Jahre Dienst in der europäischen öffentlichen Funktion vom Präsident des Europäischen Parlaments, im Jahr 2007. Er erhielt auch die Auszeichnungen der "Comendador de la Orden Civil de Mérito Agrícola de España" (1984) und "Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica" (2006), vom König Juan Carlos I von Spanien. Er war auch berechtigt, die Auszeichnungen der "Distinguished Service Order Cross" (2007), "American Order of Excellence" (2008), "Große Geister des 21. Jahrhunderts in Land- und Forstwirtschaft" und hieß "Akademiemitglied für lebenslänglicher dauerheit" (2009), vom American Biographical Institute, USA.

     Ehemaliger Reserve Offizier der griechischen Armee (XXI Panzer Division), Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS ist ein Connaisseur in der Militärgeschichte. Er war Mitbegründer (2009) und ist Vize-Präsident des "Institut für die Verwaltung der geostrategischen Krise", die erste Forschungsanlage dieser Art in Thessaloniki, Griechenland.

     Dr. Angel ANGELIDIS ist ein unabhängig Expert / Berater für, Agrar-, Fischerei- und Forstwirtschaft Angelegenheiten, nähmlich über den Entwurf, die Implementierung und die Evaluierung der nachhaltige Entwicklungsprojekte. Er führt auch in Tiefe perspektive/prospektive Analysen zu aktuellen Themen von großer geopolitischer Bedeutung.

PERFIL ACADÉMICO Y PROFESIONAL

     Nacido el 28.10.1946 en Alexandroúpolis (Grecia) – de nacionalidad helénica y francesa – el Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS es un calificado ingeniero agrónomo y economista, con amplios estudios de posgrado y multidisciplinaria experiencia de investigación en famosos establecimientos académicos en toda Europa.

     El Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS fue el jefe encargado de agricultura, pesca y bosques en el Comité de alto nivel que negoció la adhesión de Grecia a las Comunidades europeas (1975-1979). Su papel fue decisivo en los esfuerzos para acelerar las negociaciones y apartar la candidatura de Grecia de las de España y Portugal, lo que permitió a Grecia integrarse en la UE el  01.01.1981, en lugar del 01.01.1086, como fue el caso de los dos países ibéricos. Además, consiguió acuerdos técnicos y presupuestarios muy favorables para Grecia en relación con varios productos mediterráneos (aceite de oliva, algodón, frutas y hortalizas, uvas pasas e higos secos, carne de ovino y caprino...) y ha participado directamente en los ajustes del acervo comunitario y la redacción del Acta de adhesión (1979).

     Decepcionado por las intrigas políticas internas y la ingratitud del gobierno de Constantino Karamanlis que claramente falló de reconocer la importancia de la labor realizada tan pronto como terminaron  las negociaciones y a la luz de la previsible victoria en las próximas elecciones legislativas (1981) del partido de PASOK de Andréas Papandréou – cuyas posiciones antieuropeas constituían una amenaza potencial para los puestos administrativos de aquellos que habían trabajado para la adhesión de Grecia a la CEE – el Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS dejó Atenas por Bruselas en julio de 1979.

     Debido a su destacada actuación y amplios conocimientos lingüísticos, luego trabajó, por decisión especial de la Comisión Europea, para satisfacer las necesidades del proceso de negociaciones en curso de la CEE con España y Portugal (1979-1985). Durante su permanencia en el servicio de la Comisión, el Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS se encomendó en particular analizar las políticas agrícolas nacionales de España y de Portugal y en consecuencia estableció los inventarios detallados de las ayudas estatales a la agricultura española y portuguesa, que permitieron avanzar y cerrar el capítulo agrícola de las negociaciones de la UE con estos países (finales de marzo de 1985).

     Durante su larga trayectoria de 35 años, empezando en el Ministerio de Coordinación en Atenas, Grecia, 1975 y seguida en las Instituciones europeas (la Comisión Europea: 1979-1987 y el Parlamento Europeo: 1988-2011), ocupó varias posiciones administrativas de alto nivel (Administrador principal, Jefe de División, Consejero, Director) principalmente en los sectores agrícola, pesquero y forestal. También fue miembro del gabinete del Comisario para la pesca y los transportes (el Sr. Contogeorgis, Comisión Thorn: 1981-1984). Participó en el proceso de integración de la República Democrática Alemana (ex-RDA) con la CEE (1990) y las sucesivas ampliaciones de la UE (1986, 1995, 2004 y 2007).

     El Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS ha diseñado, implementado y monitoreado numerosos proyectos de investigación y de desarrollo económico financiados por la UE en Europa, Asia, África y América Latina. También había colaborado con varias consultoras especializadas en desarrollo regional y rural   («Dragados y Construcciones», «Doxiadis Associates», «Vakakis Associates», etc.), antes de incorporarse a las Instituciones europeas.

     Concretamente, fue el promotor del gran proyecto EUROFOR y su resultado – el estudio "Europa y el Bosque" (editado en 3 volúmenes por la Oficina de publicaciones oficiales de las Comunidades europeas en 1993/1998) – sobre la base del cual el Parlamento Europeo lanzó en 1994, de conformidad con el artículo 138 del Tratado de Maastricht, su 1ra iniciativa legislativa en favor del sector forestal. Se considera entre los protagonistas fundadores de la estrategia forestal europea adoptada por el Consejo en diciembre de 1998.

     El Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS es el autor de decenas de papeles técnico-económicos, fichas técnicas, informes, documentos de trabajo y estudios tratándose de acciones y políticas europeas en varios campos (agricultura, pesca, bosques, desarrollo rural y regional, ordenación del territorio, protección del medio ambiente, biodiversidad, bioenergía, cambio climático, pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYME), cooperación para el desarrollo, presupuestos-finanzas...). Ha publicado varios artículos científicos y puntos de vista especializados en revistas y periódicos de ciencia por igual. Se expresa en varios idiomas (francés, inglés, alemán, español, portugués, Italiano, griego, ruso...).

     En posesión de un doctorado (Doctor Ingeniero Agrónomo) de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, España (1974) y otro de la Universidad de Montpellier, Francia (Docteur d'État ès Sciences économiques, 1975), se graduó de la Escuela Agronómica Superior de Atenas (M.Sc) en 1970. Aumentó su cualificación académica y técnica por medio de estudios de postgrado en instituciones de renombre como becario de los gobiernos griego, austríaco, británico, francés y español.

     Ha enseñado, como profesor visitante, en la escuela diplomática de Madrid, España (1979-2004) y en la Universidad "Montesquieu" - Burdeos 4, Francia (2003-2010).

     Se retiró a finales de 2011 como Consejero emérito de la Secretaría General del Parlamento Europeo.

     El Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS recibió la medalla de oro por 25 años de servicio en la función pública europea del Presidente del Parlamento Europeo, en el año 2007. Fue galardonado con la distinción de "Comendador de la Orden Civil de Mérito Agrícola de España" (1984) y de "Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica" (2006), por el rey Juan Carlos I de España. También recibió los honores de la “Cruz de la orden de servicio distinguido”(2007), de la "Orden de excelencia Americana" (2008), de "Grandes mentes del siglo XXI en la agricultura y los bosques" y fue nombrado "académico para el término de vida" (2009) por el Instituto Biográfico Americano, Estados Unidos de América.

     Ex oficial de reserva del ejército helénico (XXI División Acorazada), el Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS es un adepto de la historia militar. Cofundó (2009) y es Vice-presidente del "Instituto de Gestión de Crisis geoestratégicas", el primer centro de investigación de este tipo en Tesalónica, Grecia.

     El Dr. Ángel ANGELIDIS es actualmente un experto/asesor independiente en materia agroalimentaria, pesquera y forestal, incluyendo el diseño, la implementación y la evaluación de proyectos de desarrollo sostenible. También realiza análisis de perspectiva/prospectiva en profundidad para temas de actualidad de gran importancia geopolítica.

     Γεννηθείς  τήν 28.10.1946  εἰς  τήν Ἀλεξανδρούπολιν (Ἑλλάς) - ἑλληνικῆς καί γαλλικῆς ἐθνικότητος -  ὁ Δρ  Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ εἶναι μηχανικός γεωπόνος καί ὑψηλῆς ἐξειδικεύσεως οἰκονομολόγος, μέ περαιτέρω μεταπτυχιακάς σπουδάς καί  ἐμπειρίαν εἰς τήν διεπιστημονικήν ἔρευναν ἀπό ἀκαδημαϊκά ἱδρύματα γνωστά ἀνά τήν Εὐρώπην καί τόν κόσμον.  

     Ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ ἧτο ὁ κύριος ὑπεύθυνος διά τήν γεωργίαν, τήν ἁλιείαν καί τά δάση εἰς τήν ἐπιτροπήν ὑψηλοῦ ἐπιπέδου ἧτις διεπραγματεύθη τήν ἔνταξιν τῆς Ἑλλάδος εἰς τήν EOK (1975-1979). Ὁ ρόλος του ἧτο ἀποφασιστικός εἰς τήν προσπάθειαν ἐπιταχύνσεως τῶν διαπραγματεύσεων προκειμένου νά διαχωρισθῇ ἡ ὑποψηφιότης τῆς Ἑλλάδος ἀπό τάς ἀντιστοίχους τῆς  Ἰσπανίας καί τῆς Πορτογαλίας, ὅπερ ἐπέτρεψεν εἰς τήν Ἑλλάδα νά ἐνταχθῇ τήν 01.01.1981, ἀντί τῆς 01.01.1086, ὅπως ἧτο  ἡ περίπτωσις διά τάς δύο χώρας τῆς  Ἰβηρικής Χερσονήσου. Ἐπιπροσθέτως, ἐπέτυχεν λίαν εὐνoϊκάς τεχνικάς και δημοσιονομικάς ῥυθμίσεις διά πλεῖστα μεσογειακά προϊόντα ἐνδιαφέροντα τήν Ἑλλάδα (ἐλαιόλαδον, βάμβακα, νωπά καί μεταποιημένα ὁπωροκηπευτικά, ξηράς σταφίδας καί σῦκα, πρόβειον καί αἴγειον κρέας...) καί συμμετέσχεν ἄμεσα εἰς τάς προσαρμογάς τοῦ παραγώγου κοινοτικοῦ δικαίου, ὡς καί εἰς τήν σύνταξιν τῆς πράξεως προσχωρήσεως (1979).    

      Ἀπογοητευμένος ἀπό τάς ἐσωτερικάς πολιτικάς δολοπλοκίας καί δή ἀπό τήν ἀγνωμοσύνην τῆς κυβερνήσεως τοῦ Κωνσταντίνου Καραμανλή ἥτις ἀπέτυχεν νά ἀναγνωρίσει τήν σημασίαν τοῦ πραγματοποιηθέντος ἔργου μετά τήν ὁλοκλήρωσιν τοῦ δυσχεροῦς ἔργου τῶν διαπραγματεύσεων καί  ἐν ὄψει τῆς προβλεπομένης  νίκης εἰς τάς βουλευτικάς ἐκλογάς τοῦ 1981 τοῦ κόμματος "ΠΑΣΟΚ" τοῦ Ἀνδρέα Παπανδρέου - τοῦ ὁποίου αἰ  ἀκραῖαι ἀντευρωπαϊκαί τοποθετήσεις ἀπετέλουν μίαν δυνητικήν ἀπειλήν διά τάς διοικητικάς θέσεις ὅσων ἠργάσθησαν διά τήν ἔνταξιν τῆς Ἑλλάδος εἰς τήν ΕΟΚ - ὁ Δρ  Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ ἐγκατέλειψεν τάς  Ἀθήνας διά τάς Βρυξέλλας τόν Ἰοὺλιον τοῦ 1979.

     Λόγῳ τῶν ἐξαιρετικῶν του ἐπιδόσεων καί τῶν γλωσσικῶν του δεξιoτήτων,  προσελήφθη ἀμέσως ὑπάλληλος τῶν Eὐρωπαϊκῶν Kοινoτήτων - μέ εἰδικήν ἀπόφασιν τῆς Εὐρωπαϊκῆς Ἐπιτροπῆς - διά τούς σκοπούς τῆς διαδικασίας τῶν διαπραγματεύσεων τῆς EOK μέ τήν Ἰσπανίαν καί τήν Πορτογαλίαν (1979-1985).  Κατά τήν διάρκειαν τῆς θητείας του εἰς τήν ὑπηρεσίαν τῆς Εὐρωπαϊκῆς Ἐπιτροπῆς, ὁ Δρ  Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛIΔΗΣ ἧτο ἱδίως ἐπιφορτισμένoς μέ τήν ἀνάλυσιν τῆς ἐθνικῆς γεωργικῆς πολιτικῆς τῆς  Ἰσπανίας καί τῆς Πορτογαλίας καί πρoέβη εἰς τήν  λεπτομερήν ἀπογραφήν τῶν κρατικῶν ἐνισχύσεων εἰς τόν τομέα τῆς γεωργίας, ὅπερ ἐπέτρεψεν νά προχωρήσῃ καί νά κλείσῃ τό βασικόν  κεφάλαιον  τῆς γεωργίας τῶν διαπραγματεύσεων τῆς ΕOK μέ τάς χώρας αὐτάς (τέλη Μαρτίου 1985).  

     Kατά τήν μακρoχρόνιoν πορείαν τῆς 35ετοῦς ἐπαγγελματικῆς του σταδιoδρoμίας, ἀρχομένης ἀπό τό τότε Ὑπουργείον Συντονισμοῦ ἐν Ἀθήναις (1975) καί συνεχισθείσης εἰς τά Εὐρωπαϊκά θεσμικά ὄργανα (Εὐρωπαϊκή Ἐπιτροπή: 1979-1987 καί Εὐρωπαϊκόν Κοινοβούλιον: 1988-2011), κατέλαβεν διαφόρους ἀνωτέρας διοικητικάς θέσεις (Kύριος ὑπάλληλος διοικήσεως, Ἑπικεφαλῆς Mεραρχίας, Σύμβουλος, Διευθυντής)  κυρίως εἰς τούς τομείς τῆς γεωργίας, τῆς ἁλιείας καί τῶν δασῶν. Ἐπίσης διετέλεσεν μέλος τοῦ γραφείου τοῦ Ἑπιτρόπου διά τήν ἁλιείαν καί τάς μεταφοράς (κ. Κοντογεώργη, Ἑπιτροπή THORN: 1981-1984). Συμμετέσχεν ἐν συνεχείᾳ εἰς τήν διαδικασίαν ἐνσωματώσεως τῆς Γερμανικῆς Λaïκῆς Δημoκρατίας (DDR) εἰς τήν EOK (1990), ὡς καί εἰς τάς διαδοχικάς διευρύνσεις τῆς ΕΕ (1986, 1995, 2004, 2007).

     Ἡ διοικητική του ἄνοδος ἦτo ἀποκλειστικῶς συνέπεια τῆς ἐπαγγελματικῆς ἀξιοκρατίας καί ούχί τῆς πολιτικῆς εὐνοίας, δεδoμένoυ ὅτι ἅπασαι αἱ θέσεις ἅς κατέλαβεν κατά τήν μακρoχρόνιoν σταδιοδρομίαν του εἰς τά Εὐρωπαϊκά θεσμικά ὄργανα ἀπεκτήθησαν κατόπιν ἐξωτερικῶν διαγωνισμῶν, ὦν τά ἀπoτελέσματα τόν ἀνέδειξαν ἐπικεφαλῆς τοῦ καταλόγου τῶν ἐπιτυχόντων.

     Ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ ἐσχεδίασεν, ἐφήρμοσεν, παρηκολούθησεν καί ἠξιολόγησεν πολυάριθμα ἔργα ἐρεύνης καί οἰκονομικῆς ἀναπτύξεως  εἰς τήν Εὐρώπην, τήν Άσίαν, τήν Άφρικήν καί τήν Λατινικήν Αμερικήν. Ἐπίσης συνεργάσθη  μέ διάφορα γραφεῖα διεθνῶν συμβούλων ἐξειδικευμένων εἰς θέματα περιφερειακῆς καί ἀγροτικῆς ἀναπτύξεως («Dragados y Construcciones», «Γραφεῖον  Δοξιάδη», «Γραφεῖον Βακάκη», κλπ), πρό τῆς ἐντάξεως τῆς χὼρας  εἰς τήν EOK.  

     Εἶναι ἰδίως ὁ ἐμπνευστής τοῦ ἔργου EUROFOR καί τοῦ προϊόντος αὐτοῦ, τουτέστιν τῆς μελέτης «Ἡ Εὐρώπη καί τό δάσος» - (εἰς 3 τόμους, δημοσιευθείσης ἀπό τήν  Ὑπηρεσίαν  Ἐπισήμων  Ἐκδόσεων τῶν Εὐρωπαϊκῶν Κοινοτήτων, 1993/1998) - βάσει τῆς ὁποίας τό Εὐρωπαϊκόν Κοινοβούλιον ἐπροώθησεν τήν πρώτην νομοθετικήν του πρωτοβουλίαν διά τόν δασικόν τομέα, τό 1994. Ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ κατατάσσεται μεταξύ τῶν πρωταγωνιστῶνἱδρυτῶν τῆς Eὐρωπαϊκῆς δασικῆς στρατηγικῆς ἧτις ἐνεκρίθη  ἀπό τό Συμβούλιον τό 1998.         

      Ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ ἐφοδίασεν  τάς ὑπηρεσίας τοῦ  Εὐρωπαϊκοῦ Κοινοβουλίου μέ ἑτέρας μεγάλας τεχνικάς, πολιτικάς καί οἰκονομικάς μελέτας, ὅπως : «Τό Γλωσσάριον τῆς κοινῆς ἀγροτικῆς πολιτικῆς (ΚAΠ)  καί τῆς μεταρρυθμίσεως αὐτῆς", «Αἱ δι-επαγγελματικαί   Ὀργανώσεις  εἰς τό πλαίσιον τῆς μεταρρυθμίσεως τῆς ΚΟΑ τοῦ οἴνου», «Τό γεωργονομισματικόν  σύστημα τῆς ΕOK", "Ἡ Kατάστασις τῆς γεωργίας και τῆς βιομηχανίας τροφίμων εἰς τάς χώρας τῆς Κεντρικῆς καί τῆς Ἀνατολικῆς Ευρώπης  (ΧΚΑΕ)", "Αἱ γεωργικαί στρατηγικαί διά τήν διεύρυνσιν τῆς  ΕOK πρός τάς ΧΚΑΕ - κριτική ἀνάλυσις τεσσάρων μελετῶν παραγγελθεισῶν ἀπό τήν Εὐρωπαϊκήν Ἐπιτροπήν", «Αἱ Ἐνταξιακαί διαπραγματεύσεις μέ τάς ΧΚΑΕ καί αἱ ἐπιπτώσεις εἰς τόν τομέα τῆς γεωργίας -  ἡ περίπτωσις τῆς Πολωνίας»,  «Αἱ συνέπειαι τῆς Συμφωνίας τοῦ Γύρου τῆς Οὐρουγουάης τῆς ΓΣΔΕ διά τήν Εὐρωπαϊκήν γεωργίαν», "Ἡ Παγκοσμιοποίησις καί ἡ ἀπαραίτητος προστασία τῆς γεωργίας", «Ἡ Σπογγώδης ἐγκεφαλοπάθεια τῶν βοοειδῶν (ΣΕΒ) - Γένεσις, μετάδοσις και προφύλαξις", "Τό Ἐγχειρίδιον τῆς κοινῆς ἁλιευτικῆς πολιτικῆς τῆς EOK",  «Ἡ ἀπογραφή τῶν διμερῶν συμφωνιῶν καί τῶν διεθνῶν συμβάσεων τάς ὁποίας ὑπέγραψεν ἡ EOK εἰς τόν τομέα τῆς ἁλιείας",  «Ἡ συμβίωσις μεταξύ βιοτεχνικῆς και βιομηχανικῆς ἁλιείας εἰς τήν Σενεγάλη», «Τό  Ἐγχειρίδιον τῆς Εὐρωπαϊκῆς δασικῆς πολιτικῆς», «Ἡ Εὐρωπαϊκή πολιτική ἔναντι ττῶν δασικῶν πυρκαïῶν», "Τό κοινοτικόν σύστημα ἀνταλλαγῆς δικαιωμάτων ἐκπομπῶν ἀερίων ἀποτελέσματος θερμοκηπίου καί  τά δάση",  «Tά δάση καί ἡ κλιματική ἀλλαγή - προκλήσεις καί προοπτικαί", «Ἡ Ἐδαφική συνοχή τῆς ΕΕ - πρός μίαν ὁλοκληρωμένην Εὐρωπαϊκήν  πολιτικήν διά τάς  Ὀρεινάς  περιοχάς», «Ἡ  Ἐδαφική συνοχή τῆς ΕΕ - πρός μίαν ὁλοκληρωμένην Εὐρωπαϊκήν πολιτικήν διά τούς ὑγροτόπους», «Ἀνάλυσις τῶν προτάσεων της Ἐπιτροπής σχετικῶς μέ τήν ἀνάπτυξιν τῶν ἐξόχως ἀπoκέντρων περιoχῶν», «Kατάλογος τῶν κοινοτικῶν δράσεων καί μέτρων ὑπέρ τῶν ΜΜΕ», «Ἡ ἐξέλιξις τoῦ ὑπoλoίπoυ πρός ρευστoπoίησιν (Reste à liquider - RAL) τῆς βοηθείας συνεργασίας διά τήν ἀνάπτυξιν τῆς ΕΕ μέ τάς χώρας τῆς Λατινικῆς Αμερικῆς», «Αἱ σχέσεις ΕΕ-Κούβας», «Ἡ Συμφωνία οἰκονομικῆς ἑταιρικῆς σχέσεως, πολιτικοῦ συντονισμοῦ καί συνεργασίας μεταξύ τῆς ΕΕ καί τοῦ Μεξικοῦ", «Ἡ πρωτοβουλία διά τήν δημιουργίαν μιᾶς δι-περιφερειακῆς στρατηγικῆς ἑταιρικῆς σχέσεως μεταξύ ΕΕ - Λατινικῆς Αμερικῆς καί Καραϊβικῆς», κ.λπ.  

     Ἅπαντα τά  ἔργα  ταῦτα  ἐπραγματοποιήθησαν  μέ τήν μεγαλυτέραν ἐπιστημονικήν αὐστηρότητα, ἧτις ὑπερίσχυσεν oἱασδήποτε ἀποπείρας πολιτικῆς παρεμβάσεως. (Βλ.      Εἶναι ἐπίσης ὁ συγγραφεύς δεκάδων τεχνικοοικονομικῶν ἐγγράφων, ἐνημερωτικῶν δελτίων, ἐκθέσεων, ἐγγράφων ἐργασίας καί μελετῶν σχετικῶν μέ τάς δράσεις καί πολιτικάς τῆς ΕΕ εἰς διαφόρους τομείς (γεωργία, ἁλιεία, δάση, ἀγροτική καί περιφερειακή ἀνάπτυξις, χωροταξία, προστασία τοῦ περιβάλλοντος, βιοποικιλότης, βιοενέργεια, κλιματική ἀλλαγή, ΜΜΕ, συνεργασία διά τήν ἀνάπτυξιν...). Ἔχει συμμετάσχει εἰς πολλά διεθνῆ συνέδρια διά θέματα τῆς εἰδικότητός του καί ἔχει δημοσιεύσει πολυάριθμα  ἐπιστημονικά ἄρθρα καί ἀπόψεις εἰς ἐφημερίδας καί περιοδικά τοῦ κόσμου τῆς Ἐπιστήμης. Ἐκφράζεται εἰς πολλάς γλώσσας (γαλλικά, ἀγγλικά, γερμανικήv, ἰσπανικήv, πορτογαλικήv, ἰταλικήv, ἑλληνικήv, ρωσσικήv...).

     Κατά τήν διάρκειαν τῆς μακρᾶς  σταδιοδρομίας του ἐντός τῶν εὐρωπαϊκῶν ὀργάνων, ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ ἐπετέλεσεν τά καθήκοντά του πλήρως συμφώνως πρός τούς κανόνας τοῦ κανονισμοῦ ὑπηρεσιακῆς καταστάσεως τῶν ὑπαλλήλων τῆς ΕΕ χωρίς νά ὑποχωρήσῃ εἰς οἰανδήποτε πίεσιν πολιτικῆς ἤ διοικητικῆς προελεύσεως ἀντιθέτου πρός αὐτούς τούς κανόνας. Ἀπεσύρθη τό τέλος τοῦ 2011, ὡς ἐπίτιμος Σύμβουλος τῆς Γενικῆς Γραμματείας τοῦ Εὐρωπαϊκοῦ Κοινοβουλίου. 

      Ἀπόφοιτoς (M.SC) τῆς Ἀνωτάτης Γεωπονικῆς  Σχολῆς Ἀθηνῶν (1970), εἶναι κάτοχος ἑνός διδακτορικοῦ ἀπό τό Πολυτεχνικόν Πανεπιστήμιον τῆς Μαδρίτης (Doctor Ingeniero Agrónomo, 1974) καί ἑνός ἑτέρoυ ἀπό τό Πανεπιστήμιον τοῦ Μονπελλιέ (Docteur d'État ès Sciences Economiques, 1975). Ἐπεξέτεινε τήν ἀκαδημαϊκήν καί ἐπαγγελματικήν του κατάρτισιν μέσῳ μεταπτυχιακῶν σπουδῶν εἰς διάσημα ἱδρύματα ὡς ὑπότροφος τῆς Ἑλληνικῆς, Αὐστριακῆς, Βρεταννικῆς, Γαλλικῆς καί  Ἰσπανικῆς κυβερνήσεως.     

         Ἐδίδαξεν εἰς τήν Διπλωματικήν Σχολήν τῆς Μαδρίτης (1979-2004) καί εἰς τό Πανεπιστήμιον «Montesquieu» Bordeaux-IV, Γαλλία (2003-2010). 

         Εἰς  τόν Δρa Ἄγγελον ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗN  ἀπενεμήθη τό χρυσοῦν μετάλλιον διά τά 25 χρόνια δoκίμoυ ὑπηρεσίας εἰς τά Εὐρωπαϊκά θεσμικά ὄργανα, ἀπό τόν Πρόεδρον τοῦ Ευρωπαϊκοῦ Κοινοβουλίου τό 2007. Ἐπίσης ἔλαβε τά μετάλλιa "Comendador de la Orden Civil de Mérito Agrícola de España" (1984) και «Comendador de la Orden Isabel la Católica" (2006), ἀπό τόν βασιλέa Juan Carlos I της Ἰσπανίας. Ἐπίπλέoν, ἔλαβεν τάς τιμητικάς διακρίσεις "Distinguished Service Order Cross" (2007), “American Order of Excellence” (2008), “Great minds of the 21st Century in Agriculture and Forests" καί  “Academician for life term” (2009), ἀπό τό American Biographical Institute, USA.   

     Πρώην ἔφεδρος ἀξιωματικός τοῦ Ἑλληνικοῦ Στρατοῦ (XXI Τεθωρακισμένη Mεραρχία), ἵδρυσεν (2009) καί εἶναι ἀντιπρόεδρος τοῦ «Ἰνστιτούτου διαχειρίσεως γεωστρατηγικῶν κρίσεων», τό πρῶτον ἐρευνητικόν κέντρον τοῦ εἴδους του  ἐν Θεσσαλονίκῃ . 

         Ὁ Δρ Ἄγγελος ΑΓΓΕΛΙΔΗΣ εἶναι ἐπί τοῦ παρόντος ἀνεξάρτητος εἰδικός / σύμβουλος εἰς τούς τομεῖς τῆς γεωργίας, τῆς ἁλιείας καί τῶν δασῶν, συμπεριλαμβανομένου τοῦ σχεδιασμοῦ, τῆς ἐφαρμογῆς καί τῆς ἀξιολογήσεως ἔργων βιωσίμου ἀνάπτύξεως. Ἐπίσης ἐκτελεῖ ἀναλύσεις δι’ἐπίκαιρα θέματα μεγάλης γεωπολιτικῆς σημασίας.
